Description

The French Creek Arts Collective seeks to engage in creative placemaking by researching the economic and natural history of the Cussewago Square area and working with collective artists to create and support local theatrical productions.

Outcome

Dramaturgical guidance for the creative team of a local production of Macbeth. Direct impact on the production choices, which emphasized themes shared between the historical performance space and the play (e.g. visual approach emphasized the world of 20th-century American finance and not medieval Scotland). Dramaturgical program notes for audience members.
