Project

Computer Science Literacy Program

Description

This project aims to connect the ongoing efforts of providing exposure to computational skills and computational thinking to Crawford Central’s kindergarten through 6th grade students. The project’s goal is to explore the possibility of creating a program through Allegheny’s Department of Computer and Information Science so that Allegheny CIS students may provide support in K-6 grades for computational education.

Outcome

Designed kindergarten through 6th grade Computing Literacy Program, including the development of a website, creation of activities, and training materials. Worked with the school district on logistics for the program and its curricular ties to the school's curriculum.
