Description

The Crawford County Historical Society and the Meadville Community Revitalization Corporation have been exploring the history of properties in the city to determine what they once looked like before development or decay altered their appearance. We propose an architectural and historical research study to achieve these goals. This could inform city officials when making planning decisions, the MCRC when considering revitalization efforts, property owners when looking to enhance their buildings, and the Historical Society to keep a complete and accurate historical record.

Outcome

An introduction for the final report with an outlined methodology will be completed. The student researcher will pull materials under the direction of community partners at the Historical Society and create a report for each major address within both the City Historic District and the MCRC Focus Area.
